New Moon Guest Blogger!

Heyy, it's me. So I haven't posted in a long time, and of course if you are reading this, then you'd know that. It's been MONTHS. Long, long months.
Anyway, so today I was just readin' through the newspaper that I get, ho-hum, and I spot this New Moon article. Freaky Twilight fan that I am, I jump to the page and there's the headline: "See 'New Moon early, be a guest blogger". Now, if you DO read this blog, it shouldn't be TOO hard to tell I'm a writer. Just look at the title of the blog. Duh. And I'm not JUST doing this in hopes that I get 2 New Moon tickets (Sweet!), but also because, c'mon, it would be my first "published" works. I'm thirteen for goodness' sakes! Anyway, it would be quite awesome if that would happen. Sooo keep a lookout for more posts on if I win (If there's anyone out there reading.... Oh well. I know I'm writing and that's what counts! I kind of like being under the impression that someone's reading what I write. That's why I'm an author-in-the-making)!

An EXCLUSIVE excerpt from my new story :)

This is the new exclusive exerpt because I wanna post but nothing has been going on except that I'm going to camp next week!
So, enjoy!
I turned to my prey, who was getting to her feet. She stood with her hands on her hips, defiantly gazing at me. I noticed she had sharp, calculating green eyes.
“Well?” she asked, her tone scathing and clear. “Aren’t you going to kill me?”
I raised my eyebrows. “Aren’t you going to run away?”
She narrowed her eyes. “Touché.” I smiled.
“So, are you going to kill me?”
I shrugged. “I don’t know. I guess not.”
“Why not?”
“Look, a normal person wouldn’t be questioning a vampire’s choice not to end their life. What if I change my mind?” I said.
“I’m curious.”
“Curiosity killed the cat. Or the human.”
“Well, if I’m going to die, then I want to have all the answers,” the girl replied, shaking out her hair. The scent floated over to me: Strawberry-kiwi shampoo with a cinnamon conditioner. Interesting.
“I suppose I could grant you that. I’m intrigued by you,” I admitted. She was tall and her red hair descended to her waist. It was slightly curly and she was fair-skinned with freckles. She narrowed her eyes.
I glanced up at the clouds; they were thinning. The sun would be out any minute. I sighed. “Look, do you wanna come back to my . . .”
“Lair?”
“Sure.”
“Is a vampire asking me on a date? Or are you just going to kill me there?”
I rolled my eyes. “Either, both or neither. I haven’t decided yet.”

Suuup?
Well, this is Madeline, as you might have guessed, and what's going on in my life right now?
Hmmm...
Last night was the Think Hope auction at my church. The Fish Clubbers and High Hopers served tables and did punch and appetizers and stuff while people were bidding. I bought a scroll straight from Taiwan with a Thesselonians verse on it. It's soooo cool!
And today there's the Fish Club end-of-year party. It's at Tunnel Park. Cassidy, my pastor's baby, is going to be there! She's so cute and funny, she has all these adorable facial expressions. She's about a year old now.
Me and T.C. are still working hard, especially at our new favorite subject . . . GAMING!!! YAY! T.C. is getting much better at it, and so am I. Soon we'll be the GAMING MASTERS!! MUA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Ahem. Sorry.
Tulip Time has been over for a few weeks, but who cares?! The spirit of the tulip lives on in the still-blooming flowers all over the city.
Yesterday night was the PREAKNESS and the ROLEX EQUESTRIAN GAMES!!! YAY! News on the Preakness: Friesian Fire and Pioneerof the Nile unfortunately seem out of their game, at least on the mud. Both of them raced and lost in the Derby, although Pioneerof the Nile came in 2nd. Musket Man had a close 3rd in yesterday's race, as in the Derby. Sadly, no Triple Crown for us this year. Rachel Alexandra became the first filly to win the Preakness in 85 years yesterday, and the first horse in the entire history of the racetrack itself to win from the far outside 13th post position. Mine That Bird came roaring up from last place in the final three furlongs and another length and he would have won it. This is actually the first time in racing history that the jockey of the Kentucky Derby winner gave up that mount to ride another horse in the Preakness! Calvin Borel, who rode Mine That Bird to his Derby Victory three weeks ago, traded the gelding in for the Rachel Alexandra in the Preakness. And it payed off. The filly has won her last 5 races by a combined 43 1/2 lengths! Borel says he has chosen to stay on as Rachel Alexandra's full-time rider. Mike Smith has taken Mine That Bird. Borel seems very confident in his favorite filly. He seems to think she has more talent than Mine That Bird and says, "It will take a racehorse to beat her."
That's about it so far. :D Keep reading for more updates!!

P.S. This is one blogger who doesn't care if you leave comments or not. I get the feeling no one's reading anyway.. But who cares?!
"Every underpriviledged Popcan learn how to be UnPopular in just 4 easy steps: 1. Own a brain and know how to use it. 2. Have the guts to stand up for yourself and what you believe in, especially when everyone else is acting like a total moron. 3. Be weird--make weird friends, do weird things, wear weird things say weird things, date weird things. 4. Be yourself. (OMG! Is that allowed? What will everyone think?!)" -Miss UnPleasant, Paisley Hanover Acts Out, by Cameron Tuttle
P.P.S. Hope I didn't bore you with all the Preakness stats.

Back Again

WOW! Hey, sorry for not posting a lot... Wow!
There's been a lo going on! Let's see, me and T.C. are still working hard. Sadly, I don't think I'll be able to show this year. What else is new?!
Anyway, TULIP TIME has started. Me and Billie Jean and Ian the Great had a sleepover last night after the kickoff fireworks. So we spent tons of time together today and did a lemonade stand and raised like $20 for the humane society!! YAY!
And then there was the Kentucky Derby!! Has it EVER been this exciting?! I don't think so! The favorite was scratched because it was muddy, then the other favorite came in 18th! Which is 2nd-last! And my favorite came in second, for the 3rd year in a row! The other year, I picked the winner (Barbaro). And then Mine That Bird, the 2nd-to-least-favorite with 50-1 odds, won by like 7 lengths! WHOA! So it was crazy awesomeness! He was in like 17th then he made his move, and WOW he made it quick!!
So...
That's about all, I guess. Unfortunately, exams are this week. But then project term! YAY!

And I'll take you for who you are . . .

If you take me for everything . . .
I love that song. =D
Anyway.
LOTS of things going on. I'm not sure if I told you this, but we came in 14th at GVSU. We were four away from getting to state! NOOOOOOOOOO =(.
The party was AWESOME. LoL, boatsnhoes! Jasper: Rawr!
So me and T.C. have been working hard. The other day at our lesson we tried gaming. There were these two cones and each cone had three flags. I had to reach down, grab one of the flags, ride down to the end of the arena and drop it in a bucket. If I dropped the flag OUTSIDE the bucket, I had to get off, put the flag in the bucket, and get back on. We got pretty good at it near the end! I like gaming.
On Wednesday I went to hang out at the barn! Me and Cl, my riding instructor's daughter, watched her ride Phantom, a 5-year-old Freisian gelding. He likes to play with this huge rubber ball! He noses it around. It's funny! We also rode bareback on Boo-Boo the pony and it was so fun! We practiced vaulting on her and sidesaddle and going over this "bridge".
And I'm really tired because I woke up at 4:40 this morning and wrote down a story idea at 4:44 and I was so excited about it I couldn't sleep! I can't wait to start writing it!
Well, have fun with the rest of your spring break!

Birthday!

Yea!
Today is my birthday, I'm 13 now.
Tomorrow is my boyfriend's birthday and and my party! I can't wait!
We baked my cake tonight, and went to see "Confessions of a Shopaholic". It was really funny!
Anyway, I'm watching American Idol right now. I've now made a Flickr page. Here's the link:

And Emma, on your comment, that word could be the name of a vampire!
See ya!
