HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! *TWEEET*!!!!
Okay, so it's not ACTUALLY New Year's yet. But, you know, I might not post at exactly midnight. So happy 2009!!!!
Okay. So I was sitting with my Bad Puppy, who likes to look out the window on top of a couch. So I was sitting with her and I saw my fish's grave. His name was Diet. And I remembered that on New Year's Eve last year, my other fish, who I got after Diet died, was named Regulus, and he died. He lived for, what? Four months.
And I looked over where Diet's bowl used to be, and I realized that I missed Mr. Diet swimming around in there. He went from a small gold fish, to a medium-sized gold fish, to a large gold fish, to a large, old gold fish, to a large old gold fish starting to lose his scales and parts of his tail, to an old frozen decaying kinda-gold fish buried in our backyard. I'm not sure if I want a new gold fish, but I do miss Diet.
So, cheers to the happy New Year, Mr. Diet. You were my first pet that lived more than a year (Seven, actually!).

P.S. Yes. I finally remembered to take my camera out to the barn! But the lighting was bad, and I only have ones of me on horseback, and I was planning to take some when T.C. was stripped of his tack, but my mom really had to pee and the barn's bathroom was out of order so I forgot (and she might not have let me anyway). So I'll download and post them later, when my brother is off the computer. I'm posting on my mom's laptop right now, so I can't upload them right now. Sorry.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Oh, WAIT!
P.P.S. I forgot. Post a comment on your favorite gift you got! TELL MEEEEE!!!! I got a Word Processor, so now I don't have to wait for my brother to get off the computer before I start writing!!! The only problem is, my brother has started using it. Oh wells! BYE!

OMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CHECK IT OUT!!!! Terri Farley (Author of The Phantom Stallion series (see previous post)) commented on my blog!!! THIS IS SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!
YAY!
Okay, anyways, um, Merry Christmas! Yay! And in case you're wondering WHY I haven't changed my profile pic yet, the roads were so bad here (dang Michigan weather!) we couldn't go out to the barn. And now the barn is closed for a few days for Christmas. Oh, man!
Oh well. Just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year! And Happy Anniversary to my parents and to my brother, who, five years ago TODAY, started skating and now plays hockey!!! Yay!
Merry Christmas, peepoles!

Everything, Anything
So . . . As you may have heard, the Dance was last night . . . The DJ was so much better! And . . . if you've seen Autumn's and Kayla/Diana's blog, Spencer, Trevor's twin, asked me to dance . . . *blushes*. So I said yes . . . and at the next slow dance, we danced again . . . *blushes harder*. So . . . STOP STARING AT ME! It looked kind of funny because Diana and Trevor were dancing right next to us . . .
And also, I will be changing my profile pic soon, to one hopefully of me and T.C. And SHUT UP ABOUT US, AUTUMN AND DIANA!!! And Kayla . . . you two were sooo cute together!

New Pony!!!
So! What's new with you peoples? Ha! Today me and Autumn and Miss Dee (They're on here too) and my previously mentioned friend J were done with our history project early so we looked at pictures of funny cats. So I'm going to post two on here that we found that I thought were really funny.
And about the title . . . since we are no longer leasing R, we are riding a new little horse named T.C. Stats:
Breed: Morgan
Height: His shoulder is a bit shorter than mine.
Color: Dark brown with light brown highlights in his mane and tail, light brown muzzle, and a sort of cute lopsided blaze running down his face. He has large eyes and a long mane and is very fluffy, but also very shiny!
Cool Stuff: He used to be a Western pleasure horse and won TONS of ribbons, so he can canter really well out of the walk. He has great ground manners (As D says, "None of that 'bite-y snappy' stuff.") and is very sensitive, meaning he turns, stops, and goes very easily.
Age: 22
Other horses I might be riding are one of C's acquaintances' new horse, arriving a few days from now. I don't know his name, but I know he is very "hot" or high-strung and energetic, a big handsome bay Thoroughbred. I might be working him. D told us he was in a terrible trailer accident where he got literally skinned alive. She drove past and said she couldn't even tell it was him at all. No hair or skin. She said, "Man, you have never seen so much blood."
I knew a guy in fifth grade, a year older than me, named Tim, and he has a mother and older sister who ride. So I might be riding his mom's horse also, Dusty, who's a lot like T.C. He is a little bigger, with a little longer mane, and a little bigger blaze, and he goes a lot slower and is younger, but other than that. He's also a Morgan. So I'm actually pretty excited to get to ride all these ponies!

Happy Tuesday-Friday! Wo hoo! No school for FIVE WHOLE DAYS!!!! YESSSSSSSSSSS!
To respond to all your comments:
-Christine MacLean: Because chess rocks and it can help you plan stratagies.
-~Autumn~: I am going to my grandparents' buffet. Hopefully they will have another chocolate fountain and I can dip strawberries and marshmallows. Yum!
-Christine MacLean-Um . . . Okay, I may be brave with R but besides that . . . and that's only because I've been riding for like . . . what? . . . like . . . four years in March . . . I have every right to be brave around him . . . but that's like IT.
By the way, whoever said the next quote is so right: "Happiness is a warm puppy."
Except I would like to change it to "Happiness is a warm pony/17h Quarter Horse."
If you have your health you have everything.
Have fun with your break!

Caramelldansen
I'm listening to this awesome Swedish dance song. It's all techno and hyper and sounds like it should be on DDR. But it's cool. Sweden has ALL the cool dance songs, like Caramelldansen and DotA. WE LOVE YOU SWEDEN! <3!
I love Super Paper Mario! I jut got it for the Wii, it is soooooooo fun! Yay! You're Mario in a 2-D world, and (as usual) you have to save the world and rescue the princess--BUT not from Bowser! Count Bleck--"Bweh-heh-heh! BLECK!"--has taken both of them, PLUS Luigi. He has opened a hole in the very fabric of Space and Time and you can flip from 2-D to 3-D and find hidden stuff! It's cool!
My riding is going so good! R has been a bit cranky lately, but as soon as I get on, he goes right to work. His canter transitions are much smoother now, and I have spurs now, so he doesn't always want to slow down. So that's a big step in the right direction.
Happy Thanksgiving!
If you care about something, take care of it!
Be grateful.
Look to God.
Think.
Play lots of chess.
Live, Laugh, Love, Relax, Hope.
Keep Faith. (LOL, Billie Jean.)
Trust in friends. Lord knows I do.

HAI!!!
Hai!!!! LOL.
Let's see. . . . SNOW!!!! YAY!!! More! Like four inches! We were hoping for a snow day, but noooooooooo.
Um. What else.
I finished some books. Not that that's of any importance to you.
OH! Today we had an Indian Feast at our school. We made recipies from India. Everyone loved mine because it was basically frozen whipped cream. Yeah.
That's about it. . .
"I feel kind of stupid."

Sigh
Let's see. What's new???
1. My mom (www.christinekolemaclean.com) has a blog (www.christinekolemaclean.blogspot.com) and she is done with it. She wanted me to copy it all down on a word document, with the OLDEST FIRST, and I got up to 140. But the computer was so *&#^%! stupid and cancelled all those out. STRESS!!! But I finished it just now. Good.
2. Ummm . . . T's back in the hospital, sadly. Here's a carepage URL: http://www.carepages.com/carepages/TaylorNicoleKissel
3. I am content. Very. Very. Content.

Virtual Pets!
Ooooooookaaaaaaaay! Hihi!
So I was bored and I went to some of my friend's blogs, like Ian the Great, BillIE Jean, and Liz, and saw some virtual pets, and so I got some too! But it's like you're at the pet store and they're ALL so CUTE and I COULDN'T pick just ONE. So here are my pets.
We have Zakuro, my wolf. I named her after a character in one of my stories, who can turn into a wolf. She's pretty awesome. When you click on her she snarls or sits down or stands back up.
Then there's Joey. I named him after some guy that goes to my school. I don't really know why. When you click on him he barks or pants or you can give him a treat! <3!!!
And then we have Diet, my fishy. He was a real fish once but now is buried in the back yard, possibly one of my favorites (even above my dog!). He passed away last year, at the old age of 7 years! So here's a little virtual model of him, so I can remember him. If you click on him you can feed him.
Next we have Potato, my pig. She's also pretty cool. She's bright pink and she hops up and down and oinks when you click on her. I have no idea why I named her Potato, really, I don't.
Then there's Liz, my hamster. She's a bit spastic and hyper but when you finally can click on her, she'll run on her wheel!!! And then click again and she'll stop. I named her Liz because Liz's birthday party's today and she's kind of a gift! And yesterday was my brother's birthday, by the way.
And finally, Twilight. I tried to make her the same color as R, but I'm not sure I succeeded. She's kind of red, but that's the point. Twilight. Anyway I made her when I came back from the Twilight party. Coincidence? I think NOT.
Well thanks for listening.

YAY!
So HI! Sorry I haven't posted in a while . . . anyway . . . it's been SNOWING here! Yes! And they even put up the Christmas decorations downtown! And we had a band concert. We did well . . . BUT we have ANOTHER one in THREE WEEKS. Who PLANS these things?!
But it's not a lot of snow.
Like a milimeter.
And my mom went down to Houston. Cool.
And R was being a bug, he was all cranky and there were two other horses in the arena I had to keep him away from. He doesn't like other horses.
And I just got back from a TWILIGHT party for the movie, it's going to be AWESOME. I made a shirt that says "Twilight" in gold and then "Team Jacob" in black and then EDWARD in red stamped over Jacob. Hee hee.
So yeah. That's about it.
Tips:
Be prepared.
When life gives you lemons, make grape juice, then sit back and watch the world wonder at how you did it. (Thanks, Billy Jean)

But it's not a lot of snow.
Like a milimeter.
And my mom went down to Houston. Cool.

H'elloe!
I'm trying to be a British dude, like, "Helloh!" So yeah . . . . like Jello but with Hello. Kinda. Yeah. Hee hee . . . .
I'm going to change my picture back to me kissing R. But anyway. This is me and R with my grandparents. Notice I'm rather short next to him, but in reality I'm five-three. So he's rather tall. Actually, very tall.
Okay, many things to blog about. First, I went riding yesterday. Joy. We had the day off of school for parent-teacher confrences, and we went riding in the middle of the day. We found R lying down in the middle of his paddock, taking a little afternoon nap. He was reluctant to get up. And yesterday we heard from our friend Wendy who lives in Fremont. She called to see whether we were still alive, because she was watching the news and she heard there was a fire on our street. So we looked out the window, and there were three fire trucks and an ambulance. The entire west side of the house is burned.
So, Halloween. It was . . . GREAT. Yeah. We met at an old school we used to go to that's kind of the middle of our neighborhood. We had pizza, then we went Trick-Or-Treating. We yelled al sorts of different stuff. Just some of them:
"Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat!"
"Treat or trick, here's a brick, give us something good to lick!"
"Trick or treat, smell my feet, give us something bad to eat!"
"Treat or Trick."
"Merry Christmas!"
So it was pretty fun. And I got to see some people I hadn't for a while at the Post-Party at our friends' house. We traded candy, and boy was the haul good this year!
That's about all. More tips:
Don't anticipate life's movements, but do get in front of the leg. (These are some riding terms: for those other people, don't pretend you know everything that's going to happen, but do be prepared.)
Don't jump early (Don't get too far ahead of yourself)
Don't run an explosion race. (Don't go too fast, or life will pass you by)
Don't spend time doing something not worthy of your time.

HALLOWEEN!
YAY! Today is Halloween! All Hollow's Eve! YAY!
Okay. What to post about? Well, I changed my picture again, as you can see. It is me riding R. Yeah. And we're going out to the barn to ride this afternoon. R is back in the game after his cut on his eyelid and muscle pulling. He's back to full health, thank goodness.
Three of the kittens, including my favorite, left for new homes, and the mother Stephenie got fixed, but the other three kittens died. The vet came to inspect the bodies and diagnosed them by being poisoned somehow. D doesn't keep any poison around the barn at all, so it's a bit of a mystery, but they all died within about an hour of each other.
I have decided on my names for my best selling novel. Savannah and Cameron. Not based on votes, but based on what I think works best.
So have a fun Halloween, peepoles.
And I'm only going to do a few tips. Not one per day. So a few tips:
Take risks.
Have fun.
Adapt to changes.
Remember who your true friends are.
Don't be jealous.
Carry your friends when they need it.
Be creative.
Live.
Laugh.
Love.
Be fearless.
Enjoy.
Value.

Snow Days
Hi peeps! First of all, check out this new and TOTALLY awesome blog my friends E (Billie Jean) and Ian the Great have started. It's called Holland Snow Days and since winter is fast approaching (unless you live in California or Florida you GLOATERS!), they are going to track the patterns the weather and snow days here in Holland are taking. And what we do on those snow days. So yeah. It's under the blogs I follow.
Last night, during a rainstorm, someone ran through our backyard. They broke part of our fence, left their t-shirt in our garden and opened our garage door, though nothing is missing. The police came and took some pictures, and then they said they'd write up a report. We don't know who or why this person did that. ???

Hi Again
I'm going to update my picture every few weeks. The last one was of me kissing R's nose ^.^!!!! This one is of some characters from my favorite series, Warriors. They're from the third series, Hollypaw and Lionpaw, two apprentices of ThunderClan and sister and brother. Hollypaw is supposed to be black instead of dark brown, but she's cute like that too. They also have another gray brother Jaypaw, who's blind, tempermental, and training to be a medicinecat instead of a warrior. It's a really good series. In this picture (By MarikaGirl of DeviantArt), Hollypaw is saying (imaginary conversation), "Why can't you just get along with Jaypaw?"
Lionpaw shrugged his golden shoulders.
"You know you could," Hollypaw insisted, "if you tried."
"Yeah right," Lionpaw meowed.
"Come on!" Hollypaw winked her one eye and stuck out her tongue. "Do I look like I'm lying?"
So yeah. That's one of my faves.

Because every time we touch, I get this feeling . . .
There's this awesome song I'm listening to called Every Time We Touch, by CASCADA. It's pretty cool. I'm like listening to it a LOT now.
Anyways . . .
Halloween party at the barn!!!! We played flashlight tag and bobbed for apples and had a feedbag toss and did a jump course without horses (AKA, we had to jump over them ourselves . . . LOL) and this awesome thing where two horses are in the arena (except this time it was two people) and we pretended there was a mirror and we did mirrored movements. It was really cool. Then we had a bonfire and D accidentally forgot to feed her two fresian horses and this one called Phantom FREAKS OUT at every little thing and he spooked at our flashlight beams. It was really funny. And we played with the kittens a lot. We went to see them today after my lesson too, and one of them is missing, maybe he's been adopted. I hope so.
So back to my lesson. (E is sick today and we had the day off. Just a little tidbit of info there) We jumped and I am really tired now. D worked us really hard. So yeah. Today I got more books from the library (CURRRRRRRRRRRRSE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE).
That's about it. . . .
Tip for Friday:Don't live in the past. Focus on what's happening today.
Tip for Saturday: Don't do anything too risky. Risky, yes, but not too risky.
Tip for Sunday: Have fun doing new things
Tip for Today: Enjoy breaks.
I remembered some other stuff that happened. I went to Em's Dad's house and played with the kittens. I also rode in the golf cart even when my parents directly told me not to. Although they only told me not to ride on it. What?! I'd say that's a valid loophole. My parents didn't think so, though. They made me write a 300-word essay on why children shouldn't ride on, in, or drive golf carts.
And I went to my church's youth group Fish Club on Sunday and we learned the Soulja Boy dance, and some other cool dances. The person teaching was going to teach us Thriller, but we didn't have enough time. Then we learned karate. That was pretty fun. Our sensei taught Taylor Lautner, who is playing Jacob Black in the bestselling-novel-turned-movie Twilight. So yeah.
Peace out, y'all.

The Glorious Day of Fri . . . OFF!
We have today off! Woo-hoo! I love days off.
So Science Olympiad has officially started. Yesterday was the first official practice. I have been researching dutifully, which is more than some people can say. Like one of my partners, who wasn't there and probably FORGOT. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE????? And other people who just spend their time in the computer lab messing around. So anyway.
Today we're going to rest up and go see my grandparents, then swim in their pool. Yesterday me and E and Ian the Great got some hot chocolate downtown (except for Ian, who got ice cream when it was fifty-five degrees out!) and then we went to this new fountain built into the sidewalk that spurts water. E and Ian ran through it. I didn't. I stuck my toe in.
So yeah. And yesterday also my mom and aunt went to see one of my relatives. She just turned 102. So she's really old and we think she might die soon. Maybe even next week because her dad is dead (obviously) and she said, "Next week I think I'll go visit my dad, just to see if he's okay."
My mom said sometimes older people who are going to die say things like that, sometimes even without realizing it.
So sometime I want to go to the library and get some books about jumping so that I know some stuff. Yeah. So that's about it.
I'm glad we had the day off. I slept in until nine and now I feel so rested!
And next week I am going to try out for a play. So wish me luck!
Tip for today and yesterday:
Yesterday: Ask permission first.
Today: I'll tell you at the end of today. Or next time I post or whenever.

Hee hee . . .
So today I went for a ride. YAY! In a minute I'm leaving for TASC. Me and R jumped. And his eye is doing a lot better. So yeah.
That is about all that is going on in my life right now. Sorry for the boring ness.
Tip for Sunday: Uh . . . Don't put rats in the ventilation system.
Tip for Monday: Trust.
Tip for Tuesday: Laugh a lot. It burns calories.
Tip for today: Don't be embarassed about wearing anything you think is cool.
Sorry if some of these are kind of random, but I'm random too, so it fits.

Ciencias . . . Um . . . How do you say Olympiad in Spanish???
So I'm doing Science Olympiad right now.
I learned from last year:
Only take things you think you'll need.
Organize, organize, organize!
Focus.
Find your classes when you get to GVSU BEFOREHAND!!!! Not when your class starts.
Manage your time wisely.
Make sure you look at the rules and tips for your classes to make sure you know the requirements and what you can bring.
Don't cram at the last minute.
So yeah. I'm working on Science Olympiad. I'm on Dynamic Earth (Earthquakes and Volcanoes) with my friend Corey, and Fossils with my other friend Maria. Me and Maria did both of my events together last year, which were Rocks and Minerals, and Crave the Wave. Maria also had Metric Mastery with Carly, I think.
So here's the scoop on S.O. You go to meetings starting Thursdays in fall, then Tuesdays AND Thursdays after the Winter Break. It's like a huge test you have until March to study for. And you get to choose the subject. And you have a partner. And it's a lot more interesting. So it's not really a test. LOL.
So you choose two classes and study for it. In certain classes you can bring a binder or even a book to the actual test. If there's more than one pair in a group, the group that will be actually competing is defined by another test the coach devises. If you're a returning student (Like I am!) you have a guarenteed spot on the competing (Varsity) team.
Each school is allowed up to three teams of fifteen at the invitational at Allendale High School in February, but in the real thing at GVSU, only the varsity team gets to compete. Last year, even only as a sixth grader, I made it onto the Varsity team and at the Invitational made seventh in both my events. At GVSU, I got like 16th in one and 25th in another . . . bad luck, I tell you!!!
So this year I have a goal: BEAT PLYMOUTH CHRISTIAN!!!! Holy CROW that team is good! There wasn't an event that would go by where you wouldn't hear, "Plymouth Christian!!!" and "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!" from behind us. Co and my other friend Diana got first in their event at the Invitational, and then sixth at GVSU. The prizes go up to sixth at the Invitational and eighth at GVSU. It's really fun!
Whew, that was long.
Anyway, back to earthquakes! Me and Corey and me and Maria and EVERYONE ON THE SCHOOL TEAM IS GOING TO KICK BUTT IN MARCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOO HOOOOO!!!! Especially Plymouth Christian butt!
Wish me luck!
Over and out
-Madeline

PS. Tip for today: Uh . . . . well . . . probably practice, practice, practice!!! And study study study!
Some random stuff
WHO-OA!!!!!
Okay . . .
The dance was pretty fun. Bad things: (I know you're all thinking 'Why the heck is she listing the BAD things???' Well, I want to list both good and bad, ok????)
-Mostly rap music
-Almost none of the requested songs were played
-My friend's date never showed up!!!!!
-It started later than I thought and ended earlier.
GOOD things:
-Both of my OTHER friends' dates showed up.
-E's practically held hands with her!
-Some good songs.
-Mostly a good time.
-Some hilarious stuff!
And then we came home and had a snack and played poker, then read and talked and fell asleep around eleven.
We woke up because my dog was whining all night, but she eventually calmed down.
We woke up around seven and had breakfast, then played MORE POKER!!!!! And DDR.
It was pretty fun, all in all.
So yeah.
And SCIENCE OLYMPIAD has started again! I cannot tell you how much I've been looking forward to this!!!!!
YAY!
So that's about it.
Tip for yesterday: . . . . . . . . . Um . . . . . . don't forget your friends . . . . . (please no questions) . . . .

The Dance!!!!!
Homecoming is in . . .
Two hours exactly by my mom's computer's clock. Actually, it's . . . an hour and forty-five minutes if you count when it starts EXACTLY. Oh wait . . . now an hour and forty-four minutes!!!!
YAY! I'm waiting for E and Z to get here, and I am soooooooooo excited, and I dreamed about it last night, and I woke up early this morning, and I've been watching TV and doing DDR and I just took a shower and my mom's at the grocery store getting snacks for us!
EEK!!!!! An hour . . . and FORTY-THREE minutes!!!
Oh . . . NOW FORTY-TWO!!!!!
Okay . . . so now I'm blogging because I WANT TO SHARE MY EXCITEMENT!!!!!!!!
R is doing better. His eye is still really swollen and we're not going to ride him at all this weekend. But he's tolerating having his eye cleaned. He just keeps hurting himself. Poor R. =(
1:41!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay!!! So plans for tonight: (Things like this vary and differ and go crazy, but I'm a planning person, okay???)
(1:40!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Z and E get here, we talk, play around, have dinner, decide sleeping spots.
We do more playing around until 6:45, then we leave for the dance after I get dressed and have my pre-dance ritual (Just getting ready, listening to music, getting PUMPED!!!!)
Around nine, we get back from the dance.
We change into jammies, brush our teeth, have snack, play poker, go to sleep.
We have breakfast and do DDR and stuff like that.
And play more poker. I hope.
We have this HUUUUUUUUUUGE money to play with. YAY!!!!!!!!!!
(1:38!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
w00t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I'm just sittin' around, blogging, surfing the Internet, being bored. You know.
Okay. SHOUTOUT to ALL you peeps out there goin' to the dance!!!! Can't wait to see you there!!!!
I'm also excited (1:37) about going around and introducing E and Z to my friends they haven't met before. Like Autumn and Kayla. They both have blogs on here! (Actually Kayla and Diana share a blog, but whatever).
1:36!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So as you can tell I'm veeeeeeeeery excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, see you later!!! (Or, blog you later).
I'll tell you all about the dance. And my tip for the day will be posted after the dance too.
1:35!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hola-la!
Like ooh-la-la!!!! Get it??? Get it??? Never mind . . .
So yeah. Madeline here! W00T! Hola. Sup-sup??? All's well here Madeline's house. YAY! I'm being happy now! And hyper. HYPER! So anyway.
True, I have not posted in a long-ish time. I'm busy going to riding (more on that later), writing my story, reading, and doing homework. Bleargh. So anyway, lotsa homework. And going to the library (Hence the reading like a pyscho--CURSE MY ABILITY TO SINGLE OUT GOOD BOOKS!). So R is a wimp. He cut his lower eyelid. We think the fence beat him up. He's a 7-FOOT-TALL-HORSE, for gosh sakes! Anyway, we cancelled my ridng today because his eye is swollen shut, though as far as we know, his eye isn't damaged, just the eyelid. On Monday we started out sharing the arena with T.C., Sara, Fancy, Boo-Boo and Jesse. Jesse left soon after I mounted up, then T.C. I was a bit disappointed though, because I couldn't jump, and I had to use a 20-meter circle. It seems too cramped. But R hates ponies and it was safest. R was also being a bit of a bug, yanking the reins when I gave him a bit of freedom and tugging his head around, trying to get to the ponies.
So my story's coming pretty good. It's close to 21,000 words now, so yay!
Homecoming . . . pretty good. But my friend A has a date with someone on the soccer team, and they have a game during the dance. So we're hoping we can either move the dance or the game. I'd rather it was the game, because E and Z and I have been planning this poker night afterwards for like forever. So we don't want to have to move that.
So anyway.
Thanks for reading.
Tip for Monday: Don't live in the past. Keep moving forward and everything will turn out O.K.
Tip for Tuesday: Keep hope in your friends and family.
Tip for Wednesday (today): Keep hope in small chances. Always believe you can change something if you try.

Saturday, Sunday
Hola me peepolees!
Whasup?
Yesterday we went to C's hockey game. They lost, but they played great. Two players got hurt, too. We also went to the barn. While my mom was away, my dad took me. Me and R did ok, because the other girl who half-leases him came an hour earlier and worked him really hard. So R was a bit confused when I dragged him in from sun-napping. He was slower than usual (Possible? Before, I wouldn't have thought so), but I don't blame him. He refused a few jumps, but eventually got over them. We stopped early because since I just had a bad cold, I was starting to overheat.
We went over to Co's house for dinner, since C was at his high-school homecoming dance. Our's is this week . . . I can't wait! So me and his sister watched the old 'Ten Commandments' while he built a lego castle that was so awesome. Then we played DDR and man, did I get a workout! But thanks to Co, I'm now "challenging myself" into a sweat, and back into playing DDR in my spare time!
I plan on going to school again tomorrow and I heard T is doing better, that someone saw her at school. So that's good!
Tip for Saturday: Don't push yourself too far (Or your horse!)
Tip for Sunday: Don't make a decision, then change your mind, then change it again. Just decide and stick with it. Especially when involving dates.

'Tis Friday
Avast, 'tis the glorious day if Fri. LOL.
I love Fridays. But today I was sick again. If there was school tomorrow, I'd be going back. Trust me, guys. Today was just to complete the recovery, but unfortunatly, my stomach is still acting up a little. Tomorrow we hope to make it out to the barn and ride. I still really want to start jumping again, so practice practice practice! My dad would be taking me and I look forward to showing him how far R and I have come, including jumping, and D taking R to a horsey shrink. She taught me a few tricks to working with him and said something that surprised us: That he desperately needs and wants a leader, despite his bossy, in-your-face-and-space additude. Go figure!
So that's all about it. My good friend Ian the Great has posted a HILARIOUS video, which you can see by going to his blog, The Tragic Life and Opinions of Ian the Great (www.thetragiclifeandopinionsofianthegreat.blogspot.com) and clicking on Posting Again Finally under October. So yeah.

Sicky-Poo
Today I stayed home from school. This is what I did:
-Read
-Watched TV
-Dozed
-Was bored
-Forced fluids
Since I was sick and it is cold out now, my dad drove me to a funeral for the woods near our house but WOULDN'T let me get out (gr). He let me open my window though.
See, we have this copse of trees near our old school. But today they tore half of it down and boom! A place that holds so many memories was gone. Our old school is now a kindergarten place and they put in the playground. We think they will tear down the rest of the woods too. We often played Capture the Flag here, so we're all very sad.
Meanwhile my friend emailed me and told me she asked her crush to the dance--and that he said yes! I'm happy for her.
T still has not returned and we have no new updates.
And I'm finding myself feeling empty between the knees when I walk around: I'm missing the hard feeling of a saddle there. I'm itching to swing back up and try larger jumps. Fortunately if I feel better we might be going to the barn tomorrow.
Even though I know my parents will read this, I have to tell the truth. I wanted to go to the funeral so I pretended to look better, but I still feel kinda crappy. If I continue on like this, I will not return to school until Monday.
So yeah. Today's tip: Don't catch my cold.

TASC, The Dance, Etc.
So today was Wednesday. Yeah. Not my favorite day.
Let's see . . . Today it stopped raining and we even got a little sun, but it was still only close to sixty in the highest. I woke up late because I turned my alarm off yesterday when I got up because it was six and I usually get up at 6:30 and since my mornings are busy--what with packing the lunches, laying out cups, placemats and silverware, getting breakfast ready, putting in my contacts, etc etc--I didn't want to waste that extra half-hour waiting for my alarm to turn on. So I turned it off and this morning I woke up fifteen minutes late. The first thing I did (as you can imagine) is turn my alarm back on. Luckily I still managed to complete all my chores/responsibilites.
In History today, since we're studying Australia right now, we got to try vegemite. It has the consistancy of jam, and has the color of dark chocolate. Here's the story: When the English took over Australia they used it like a prison. They would cart all the prisoners down to Australia and have them clean out the rocky shores. So they started getting sick. Vegemite was invented to keep them healthy. They had to eat a spoonful a day.
So we either had to smell it or try it. One of my friends Co was sitting next to me. Our teacher offered it to him and he smelled it. He swallowed, took some deep breaths and said "No thank you." I admire his politeness. Next up was me. I leaned in and took a huge whiff. Good thing I have a bad cold! It smelled terrible. (Around this time I started feeling sick to my stomach and almost called my mom to pick me up--whether this was because of the vegemite, don't ask me. My cold seems to work on and off.)
It made my day because it was hilarious to watch people eat it, and their reactions. Case in point:
Another one of my friends, J, was sitting next to Alex (which is a pretty common name, which is why I'm not bothering to use and initial). J took a toothpick and stuck the vegemite in his mouth. A few seconds later, he looked like he was going to throw up! Alex shrugged and took a glob, too. He ate it, then said, "Mmmm!" and took another. It was really funny, watching J sit there retching and Alex happily sucking away at his. I heard these things about it later: "It smelled like soy sauce, and tasted like it too!" "It tasted like dogfood that was rotten." "The aftertaste was like wood." "It tastes like reeeeeally salty chocolate."
After school we went riding and D set up a large crossrail for Cl to jump her pony over. I used to jump: in fact the majority of my riding career has been jumping. I even won a blue ribbon in vertical jumping with a throroughbred named Ellie. So I asked my mom if I could jump it and I did! I stopped jumping because I fell off twice in a row jumping. So that is a big milestone for me. And R did great: he only jumped wide a few times, and he seemed to be enjoying it.
Right now I'm not feeling too great. I have a terrible cold and might stay home tomorrow, so if any of you peeps at school wonder where I am, HI! Right here.
Thanks for reading, again

Mon/Tues
Hellow! (LOL)
So yesterday we were SUPPOSED to ride but it was raining and R wasn't indoors and was all wet, so we just visited the kittens (Two weeks old now!) who are starting to walk and hear.
I am still very very busy. So I'm sorry, but I forgot to do the blog yesterday, so I'll do it today.
Nothing much is happening. Tip for Monday: If you do your homework the day it's assigned, your future self (Who will have more time for fun stuff) will thank you.
Tip for Tuesday: Be yourself.
Sorry if some of this is confuzzling, but yeah.

The day that comes after Saturday
Hello again . . .
Today I went out to the barn, bringing with me my friend Z who also rides. I tried to ride R bareback up to the barn and succeded, though my mom got bitten (and wasn't very graceful about it) in the process. It's not R's fault!
We rode outside and he behaved perfectly aside from sometimes meandering aimlessly. After that Mom rode him and me and Z had a wonderful time with the kittenes, which each of us so desperately want to take home.
After that, we came home and I did homework, took a shower and made a movie about one of my best friends (actually it's more about friends in general) and it's really cool because it has all these awesome affects. So yeah.
Then another short game of Capture the Flag and practicing my saxophone, and whaddya know? Now I'm here.
I think I've got a good idea for this blog. A tip per day. Today's tip: Always bring bug spray while going to play Capture the Flag. Itchy!
Thanks again for reading!

Saturday
Today we went on a youth group retreat in which we rode this reeeeeally cool bus and I talked to my great friends Z and L (I TOLD you I would put you on here!). We had some pretty funny conversations. We also kayaked (Me and Z in a double) and hiked. All in all, it was a great time.
That's about it. As you may know my mom has a blog that counts her blessings. She posts something she's thankful for everyday. Well, I don't want to copy, but today I'm grateful for friends.

Hey, It's Me Again! (Who Else??)
Hi everybody!
What goin on? I hope everyone out there is better than me . . . I'm sweaty and covered in fly spray after a neighborhood game of Capture the Flag in which we used actual flags. Construction flags. They were everywhere, so each person kept bringing back fake flags. LOL!
T is doing much better and is expected back on Monday, so cheers for that!
C started a hockey tournament today and he won his first game. They have another tonight--at ten PM! Who's behind THAT schedule?
I'm riding again on Sunday and tomorrow I'm going on a church youth group camp-thingy. So I'll post more about that soon.
Since I'm still buried in books to read, quizzes to study for and homework to complete, I groaned when my English teacher assigned another essay today. You know what? I think that our teachers have meetings to decide when to PILE homework so that either you miss an assignment or you fall over from exhaustion. That's what'll happen to me soon. (Joking, kind of . . .)
So yeah. The school dance is coming up and everyone's excited about that, especially me! E, my friend from another school, is coming too. Today we also went on a Science field trip, which meant missing Math. YES!
That's all for now. Over and out, faithful readers.

I am BACK!
Hi, I'm back again! Thank you for reading!
Today I am again buried in homework, what with a new band assignment. Here are all the things I have to do:
-English projects
-English studying
-English reading
-Band (practicing)
-Two band reports
-Riding
-Reading an insanely tall stack of books
-Writing--three stories and a FanFiction story
-sleeping of course
-Capture the Flag
-My brother's hockey games
-My friends
It is my choice to do a lot of these things and I exaggerate a lot. LOTS of these things aren't mandatory or they aren't due for a while.
So don't get too overwhelmed for me.
Thank you. Nothing much happened today except we got news on T.
She is now in Indianapolis for ultrasounding on her pancreas. She is in a lot of painbut managed to keep a chicken wrap down fr lunch. She has been occasionally emailing. So she's doing all right.
Thank you again.

Well Hi Again!
Yo yo yo! (That sounds lame. But I have to greet you faithful readers SOMEHOW!)
Today we went out to the barn. R's hoof was much better and a family friend An came with us. She and her mom used to take riding lessons with me and my mom. So she came to watch me ride! I had a lesson. R behaved great and he even cantered out of the walk. We worked on leg yields and lots of other stuff--D worked me and R into a lather! The kittens' eyes are open at one week, two days, and we know for sure there are six: one boy and two girls, four black-and-white and two pure black. Me and An named them, though still respecting D's and Cl, her daughter's, rights to choose their own names. The pure black tom is Fred, the black female George (humor me). There's also Tango, Mini Boo-Boo (named after a pony) and Mini R, after my horse! He's not really mine, I half-lease him, but it's easier to say mine, so don't get confuzzled. And there's Pearl. So that's it.
Thanks for reading and I also got a bit piled with homework as well as going to a church youth group. I'm ready to fall into bed and I never even had time for my story!

Hello again
Thanks again for reading.
Today I started playing tenor saxophone instead of my usual alto. I still play alto, but also tenor. It's harder to play tenor because it's bigger and deeper and takes more air. It also throws the rest of the saxophones off course in our songs as I now play a different part.
Another game of Capture the Flag commenced tonight. I remembered bug spray so I didn't get completely eaten alive by mosquitoes. Our team lost all three times, unfortunately. Three times in an hour.
Anyway, we recieved more news on T. She is being moved to a hospital in Indianapolis for testing on her pancreas and she does not know when she will be back. She has managed to keep some fluids down and her pain medication has been decreased 25%. I bought a card for her the other day and have been collecting signatures for her. So many people wish her well.
Please keep her in her prayers. I hope to see you all (unless you're a complete stranger) again soon!

PS. After R pulled his muscle, today is the first day we could ride him again! Not us personally, but the other person who half-leases him. Tomorrow we're going riding. See you then!

A Friend in Need
Today I got up and went to school. During this process I noticed one of my friends, T, was missing. Last year she had to go to the hospital because of stomach problems and was MIA for four months, missing her birthday party, Halloween (Her favorite holiday), and when she came back she had a few F's. But she's usually a good student.
Today we learned she's back in the hospital. Me and E walked downtown to get her a card.
So that's it for today. I wish all you out there well!

Sunday
Hello again all you peeps out there reading this, whether you are family, friends, or just some stranger, thanks so much for reading!
Today I went to church and then went out to the barn. Today was apparently Pony Club, so we waited until all the Pony Clubbers were out of the barn and groomed R good. After we turned him out, he got in a play-fight with another horse. When we figured out they weren't trying to hurt each other, it was pretty fun to watch. It started by R trotting around the pasture, feeling his oats, and pretending to nip at K.C. Then K.C. started nipping back, and they galloped around. They stopped and started rearing and nipping again. Whenever R got a bite in, K.C. would bare his teeth right in R's face.
We also visited Stephenie's kittens, who at this point are about a week old. We were able to pick them up for under a minute at a time. I have a favorite (What can I say?), and I named her Tango. It just came to mind. She is black on her head, and has a white nose, like her mother, and a white chest, then a kind of hour-glass white shape on her back. She had strong lungs, too! There are still an unidentifiable number of kittens, but we're pretty sure there are six.
Also we recieved exciting news that yesterday my cousin asked his girlfriend to marry him, and she said yes! This supplied a happy event to discuss.
Except for that, there's no large news. We're having my favorite meal for dinner, and I'm starving! I hope that you all out there are doing great and are healthy.
Don't forget to count your blessings.

The Rest of My Day
Since one of my friends (Let's call her A) threatened me in a friendly-ish way if I didn't update my blog, here you go.
Tonight some of our neighborhood group got together and started playing Capture the Flag, a neighborhood past time. But we didn't end up with enough people to play so me and E and our other friend Ian the Great (His blog's on here too) just talked for a while. Nothing major.
I also take any chance I can to meditate in my favorite spot at a school near my house. I also worked on my story. I am working on a new one. We have some more people from neighborhood here (We're a tightly knit group) while all of our parents go out to dinner.
Before I leave again, I want to say that meditation is an overrated and underappreciated art.
Until next time!

My First
This is my blog. I have just started it--YAY--and hope I an continue it throughout my busyish life. Some stuff:
Initials. I will be using initials for some of my friends' names. These are the immediate ones you need to know:
E: One of my best friends
Em: another one of my best friends (I have many)
M: My dog
Mom: Mom, duh. Same thing for Dad.
R: The horse I half-lease
C: My older brother
D: My horse-riding trainer
Any others I will tell you when I blog.
Also I am a good speller with a bad keyboard with letters that sometimes won't cooperate, so if I make any spelling mistakes, it's because I have a bad keyboard.
This blog is abut the daily life of a 12-year-old. A 12-year-old girl whose favorite things are writing, reading and riding.
I am also a sucker for good books. Don't let me go to the library until I finish the books I already have!
So that's about it. I'll start my first real post below this line.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After giving everybody the basics, this is my first real post. Thank you, thank you. (Bows)
Recently R (See above information on Initials) got his hoof stuck in deep mud and pulled a muscle, as well as strained his tendon. Today is Saturday and he won't be able to ride until Tuesday. So now we must stick to going out to the barn to simply groom him and offer him someone to complain to.
S, one of the barn cats, recently gave birth to her second litter of kittens, and we think there could be from 4-6 of them. So if you actually know who I am, they should be ready to take home within a few months.
I have written a 33,000 word novel and I sent some query letters to publishers. I just got my first rejection letter, and I'm so excited! (Yes, I am a bit crazy.)
